Programme Overview
and Objective
The changing electricity business environment, stringent regulatory norms, tariff based competitive bidding and enhanced customer expectations are all exerting pressure on the operating margins of power generation business. In this context, reducing the production cost through efficient supply chain management is the key to sustaining business performance. Contracts and Procurement being a vital building block representing the value chain of power generation business; it has a strategic role in the organization to achieve this objective of cost minimization. The relentless demand from internal customers to improve procurement/contract service functionality and quality have added further complexity to the role of procurement and contracting personnel. This has led to strategic procurement and contract management through management of suppliers, improved supply base relationships, understanding best practices and leveraging technologies the key to achieving completive edge to organization.
This program aims at developing a strategic outlook to senior executives of C&M and enables them to play a transformation role.

At the end of the programme, the participants shall be able to:
