Event Title Welding Technology and Non– Destructive Testing
Programme Overview
and Objective
Welding technology is having significant importance in construction, erection and preventive maintenance phases of a thermal power plant. A power plant will run unhindered, without any forced outages, if concepts and application of welding technology is well understood and accordingly adequate measures are taken to control welding of tube joints, pipe joints, joints in structures etc and ultimately in the process of that – achieve the best quality of the weld joint.

The objective of this programme is to disseminate knowledge on Welding Technology and Non – Destructive Testing applicable in thermal power plants. The technological advancement in the field of welding and NDT will also be discussed.
