Event Title Renewable Energy & Distributed Generation for Rural Electrification
Programme Overview
and Objective
NTPC has formulated its business plan of capacity addition of 1000 MW through renewable energy sources like solar, wind, hydro, biomass, bio-fuel. In this endeavor, various projects are under implementation. NTPC is on the way of putting up 500 MW wind farm in Karnataka.
NTPC has successfully commissioned 10 DG projects based on biomass and SPV technology and more DG projects are under advance stage of implementation.

At the end of this programme, the participant shall be able to:

  • Assess various renewable energy options
  • Discuss various issues to Renewable Energy Projects such as policy design, fund management, sustainability and involvement of DG projects
  • Describe new emerging technologies being used for Renewable Energies.
