Power generation by using fossil fuel benefits mankind but at the same time it has serious environmental impact. With ever increasing stringency of the environmental norms and problem of dwindling energy resources, electricity generating utilities are striving to reduce environmental impacts of power generation.
The programme is aimed to provide inputs about environmental impacts of fossil fuel fired power plant. Upon completing the training programme, participants will be able to analyze environmental issues related to power generation process and take necessary corrective actions at the O&M level in order to reduce environmental pollution. |
