Event Title Safety Management during Construction of Hydro Power Project
Programme Overview
and Objective
Safety is a pre-requisite for any work activity. Safe working method not only eliminates accidents but also improve morale amongst the employees. Construction and Erection activities involve major hazards in industrial activities. It includes working at height, material handling, excavation work, electrical installation etc. To eliminate hazards, systematic and safe approach is required to be implemented at work site. The programme aims at providing the participants an insight to the safe approach and systems during execution of jobs in Hydro Power Project to achieve ‘Zero Accident’.

At the end of the programme, the participants shall be able to:

  • Understand how accidents are taking place at site and why it is important to follow safety norms to avoid such accidents during execution of any job
  • Analysis what are the requirements of safety during Construction and Erection activities especially for Hydro Power Project.
  • Define responsibilities of different individuals for ensuring safety at working site
