Programme Overview
and Objective
Advances in computer based control systems have closely followed developments in computer technology. The advent of high end computerization has led to implementation of sophisticated control algorithms for controlling individual control loops, user friendly display systems and menu driven software selection etc. in a control room.
This program is specifically designed for executives from O&M background and shall offer an insight into the system philosophy, specifications and design considerations from operation point of view and offer operational feedback of system performance from NTPC projects.

At the end of programme, the participants shall able to-

  • Define the difference between DCS and analog control
  • State the advantages of DDCMIS system
  • Describe the functioning of DDCMIS
  • Analyze the impact on plant performance
